Technology in the church may not sound all that spiritual—but it absolutely can be! It’s all about the word “communication.” We have a message to communicate about God’s love and eternal life, and this is the best message in the entire universe. So the question becomes: how can OVCN use technology to tell people about Jesus? If this is an area of interest or expertise, we would love to have you join us! We offer numerous opportunities for you to serve, and we provide on the job training as well.
Tech Team- Thursday 9am-1pm Main Sanctuary
Our tech team meets weekly and works on a variety of installation and maintenance projects across our campus in the areas of sound, lighting, and video. If you are a “techy”, this just might be the right place for you to get involved!
Sound operators and recording personnel are needed for all worship services and special events. Every week, we recruit personnel to serve in both the Main Sanctuary and the
We need a good group of volunteers to man our cameras and video equipment each Sunday morning. Our video not only makes the message in our sanctuary stronger, but also extends this message to two other campus venues, to our streaming audience, and to all desiring CDs, DVDs, and downloads of our service content.
Projectionists serve in all regular and special services in the Main Sanctuary and our Engage services. They project all multimedia for worship including: worship lyrics, scriptures, sermon notes, and videos.
Media Center – Main Sanctuary
Our Media Center volunteers duplicate, package, and distribute CDs and DVDs following morning worship services. The Media Center is located just outside the glass entry doors to the Main Sanctuary. We would love to have you join our team!
Do you enjoy taking pictures? Occasionally, we need volunteers to photograph areas of our campus, worship services, and special events. If you have an eye for a good shot and a camera, we would love to have you provide us with some photos.
Our lighting crew lights the Main Sanctuary and manages our lighting system for the Christmas production, special events, and worship services throughout the year. They also set up and run special effects including the star field, snow, fog, black lights, and confetti cannons.
Web Pastors interact with our online guests who watch our regular services and special events through our live web stream. We want our online guests and attendees to know there is a real person interested in their weekly worship experience online.
Stage Building and Props
Stage construction crews build parade floats, scene props, and paint our stage set for the Christmas production. Crews set up the stage while others decorate the Main Sanctuary for the Christmas season.
