“Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galations 6:2
“Therefore encourage one another and build up each other.” – I Thessalonians 5:11
“Love one another—as I have loved you.” – John 13:34
Stephen Ministry is a one-on-one caring ministry where caregivers, laymen and laywomen of the church are equipped to walk alongside someone in the midst of a painful experience. Jesus tells us to bear one another’s burdens. Stephen Ministry teaches the skills that enable participants to provide spiritual support and comfort to people in crisis. We learn to become skilled listeners and allow God to work through us to bring comfort and healing to His people. We become the eyes, ears, hands, and heart of Jesus as He, and only He, heals the broken soul. Stephen Ministry is Christ caring for people through people.

Are you in a crisis or need help?
A Stephen Minister can walk alongside of you in your time of grief. Not just an hour, a day, or a month, but as long as it takes to provide you the support you need. Find spiritual help when you are facing a crisis. If you need a Stephen Minister or know someone who does, call Steve & Brenda Moseley at 520-314-8799 for a referral. You can also contact Steve and Brenda Moseley at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry. The identity of those receiving care and what takes place in each caring relationship remains private.
Who is eligible to become a Stephen Minister?
Stephen ministers are called by God to be used as instruments to reach broken souls. God often uses our own brokenness to bring another person into wholeness with him. This ministry is for those with gifts for caregiving who are willing to be trained and invest time in people’s lives. It is not a counseling ministry, and it is not for everyone. You won’t always see visible results, but you can have the confidence that God uses those who make themselves available to Him for His purposes. As you contemplate becoming a Stephen Minister, watch this personal story of a Family in Crisis and see how God used a Stephen Minister to help them in their time of need.
How can I apply to become a Stephen Minister?
There is an application process for Stephen Ministry. Fifty hours of training will be required of all participants. Training includes a set curriculum as well as a study of the scriptures. For more information or to begin the application process contact Steve or Brenda Moseley at email@example.com.
